TRANSCRIPT
of a part of the will of Silverio Peter Pirquet & Johanna Pirquet, née Helmberger, dated October 7, 1949, concerning the provisions regarding the „Pirquet family heirlooms“
     „I, Silverio Peter Pirquet, bequeath the so-called Pirquet family heirlooms under the following conditions: My mother left these items with the following words: „I would like to recommend to my children that the core stock of the so-called Pirquet family heirlooms be kept together, & that they make provisions among themselves that these be passed on undivided to the firstborn (of the respectively eldest line (§ 619 ABGB)).“
     Since these words of my mother, „I would like to recommend to my children,“ could lead to differences of opinion, I wish, after consultation with my sons Hubert & Silvio, to make a clear & unambiguous provision, & hereby order that the following pictures & objects shall pass undivided to the firstborn of the respectively eldest line (§ 619 ABGB.).

Furthermore, I direct that none of the pictures may be sold by any of my successors. Should this nevertheless occur, the person concerned must have a good copy of the picture made by a painter, which shall then be incorporated into the other family pictures in place of the original. After deducting the cost of this copy, the proceeds are to be divided among those then entitled to inherit.
       Should the male legitimate line of the Pirquet family die out, this restriction on the pictures shall be considered lifted & they may be dealt with at will.
       Addendum to the will of October 7, 1949
       For all pictures beyond the 36 listed portraits, the proceeds are likewise to be divided among those then entitled to inherit! This sentence is to be added, in equal shares, or to future living, legitimate & inheriting descendants.

In the original text of the will, the names of the artists are not given, for tax-related reasons.
